APPROVAL OF THE "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN...INTRODUCING MATH, SCIENCE AND THE CIRCUS! GRANT PROPOSAL TO THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF SARASOTA FOR THE ART DEPARTMENT OF BAY HAVEN
Description
COMPETITIVE: Grant funds of $4835.00 will be used to implement a school-wide unit of instruction about the circus, emphasizing science, math, reading and the performing arts. Activities include trips to the Ringling Circus Museum, materials to create circus acts, and to teach Science and Math. Also included will be school wide performances and "Circus Day".
Recommendation
That the School Board of Sarasota County approve the "Ladies and Gentlemen...Introducing Math, Science and the Circus" grant proposal.
